Constructions of Chaos is the first exhibition in the series Private Dimensions of visual artist Bart Prinsen.

10 constructions. Self developed projection machines, all analogue. Bart Prinsen builds and rebuilds projectors with air bubbles, smoke, …
These machines generate images which are activated by the passerby-spectator. They are literally and metaphorically connected with each other: the images that arise influence each other and influence the space, through which an alienating dimension opens up. Your private dimension.

Beyond the rational mind which searches for patterns, a world opens in between reality and illusion. A dimension appears in between conscious and unconscious, thought and image. It’s a space that opens up, somewhere in between the projection of a machine and the projections of our mind.

Constructions of Chaos is a part of a larger whole of Private Dimensions. It’s related with minimum two other projects in progress, that will be shown later on the year in Echo.Base: Places for Illusions and Associations to feed your memory/ of my memory
